Dirt Late Models Set to Light up Northam High Banks This Saturday!
The Late Model Entrants Group Presents Round 3 of the QFS Australia Pro Dirt Late Model Series on the High Banks of the Northam Motorsports Park bullring venue for this Saturday nights running of the 2 nd Annual Firecracker 50 with thanks to Speedway Racing News & Power Productions.
Last years winner “The 0 Show” Brad Blake will be the hot favorite heading into the event as he has just taken the points lead in the QFS Pro Dirt Series and is in great form.
A big field of cars have nominated for the event including “The Rocket Man “Craig Vosbergen, Defending QFS Pro Dirt Series Champion “Shorty” Ben Ludlow, “The Busselton Bullet” Kevin Bell, “The Sanitarium Kid” Mark Duncombe, “Green Machine” Rob MacGregor, Rookie Sensation Warren Oldfield and “The Hammer” Michael Hamon who has repaired his car from Saturday Night's incident in Round 2 at the Perth Motorplex.
Northam Motorsports own Jason Oldfield will also make his Return to Late Model Racing this weekend after a lengthy lay off, Oldfield sustained injuries in a Sprintcar accident back in October and is ready to race with a new look car.
Rob Macgregor and his Minetec Sponsored Team will be looking to perform well after their last outing at Northam was quite successful. The Team suffered mechanical failure at the Perth Motorplex last Saturday Night and will in a race against time to get the car back on track for this weekend.
The Format for Saturday night will be 2 x Hot Lap sessions, then we move into the Speedway Racing News 2 rounds of Qualifying Heat races per Driver, The Power Productions Top 6 Shootout and the all important 50 Lap Firecracker Feature race event, the longest race on the schedule.
Hot Laps are at 6:30pm and Racing Starts at 7:00pm, support division are AMCA Action Series round 5, Wingless Sprintcars, Speedcars and Super Production sedans. |
