South Australian Late Model Association – Progress Continues

The South Australian Late Model Association has made further progress over recent weeks as they now enter the begining of their inaugural season on the South Australian Speedway landscape.

Two of the locally registered Late Models have hit the track, putting their best wheels forward at the Speedway City Practice night a fortnight night ago. On a well prepared track the cars belonging to Mick Brougham and Luke Raymond circulated well for a first time out and both drivers were wrapped in their respective rides.

Earlier in the day Luke Raymond and his team were out and about participating in their second display for the season at the Woolworths Regency Plaza Shopping Centre for the Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital Rose Ward.

Continuing along these lines SALMA will be having a special launch day at the northern end of the picturesque Colley Reserve, Glenelg on the 2nd of November between 11am and 1pm. This should prove to be quite successful as the area is Adelaide’s most touristy beach area.

On Sunday, 23 November 2008 SALMA will be holding their monthly General Meeting at 2pm in the front bar of The Edinburgh Hotel. The bar will be closed to the general public but those wanting to attend the meeting are most welcomed to come along.

The SALMA Late Models will be shaking the ground as the V8 powered beasts will be in action for their first ever official race meeting on Saturday 8th of November at the Tolmer Speedway located in Bordertown, South Australia. SALMA look forward to seeing you there!
