Brad Ludlow(#92 Di Candilo Steel City GRT) has once again come out triumphant in round 5 of the West Australian Late Model Series on Saturday night on a slick and dusty Kwinana surface. The current dominator of WA Late Model Sedan racing, who qualified pole position for the fourth time in a row, was followed home by Matt Goodlad (#18 JRH Signs Rocket) 2nd, and returning for the first time this season, Jac Dolmans (#46 Spa-Man Mastersbilt) with a solid 3rd place finish.

BIG NUMBERS - There are currently 29 registered LATE MODEL DRIVERS in WA with at least another 9 cars ( and probably more ) not currently registered but race ready or close to it.
That makes close to 40 LATE MODELS in WA.

  Ludlow Wins Thunder Hill 30
In a dominatant display second generation racer Brad Ludlow has won the Thunder Hill 30 at Makit Hardware Narrogin Speedway in his DiCandilo Steel City/Lucas Oils #9 GRT. Ludlow adapted to the tight confines of the Narrogin oval from the get-go as he won both his qualifying heats, the A-Dash and the final in fine fashion during round 4 of the R2C Competition Filters Pro Dirt Series

THAT’S COOL
Jay Cardy will be using a COOL SUIT at the Narrogin  Round of the R2c Prodirt series this Saturday.
This device allows cool water to be pumped around to keep Jay cool while racing. With temperatures forecast to be high it looks like good timing for the first go at it.

Jason Moyle’s new Rayburn Combo car has arrived from Ohio this week. Fitting of the Moyle engine will get underway straight away so that with a bit of luck we should see the car at the December Motorplex round. If not it will definitely be ready for Boxing night in Bunbury. Jason and his Moyle Engines/Valvoline/Signs to Scale/Rayburn will be a formidable combination. Definitely one to watch.

  Did You Know

Chief steward Jerome Sutton has made it clear that OVERDRIVING will not be tolerated in late models. He has already started “Having a Talk” with drivers. He says he wants to keep the racing clean and maintain the excellent low damage situation that has been apparent over the first 3 rounds of the R2C pro dirt series. If you see your favourite driver unexpectedly starting off the rear he may well be experiencing a COOLING OFF PERIOD. Well Done Jerome (ED)

  Big Field For Thunder Hill 30 At Narrogin
A big field full of quality drivers have nominated for this weekends running of the Thunder Hill 30 at the Makit Hardware Narrogin Speedway. As at the time of this release eighteen cars had tendered their nominations to Late Model Racing Australia in what looks to be an exciting event.
 

Did you notice that  Ryan Halliday, Brad Blake, Jason Oldfield, Warren Oldfield and Jamie Oldfield were honing their RACE CRAFT skills in Production sedans and street stocks over the winter break. Great preparation for the massively powerful LATE MODELS.

Lee Oldfield will have LATE MODEL  MERCHANDISE for sale on behalf of drivers at all Country rounds of the R2C Pro Dirt series commencing at Round 4 in Narrogin. Look for Lee outside the pits and get your Xmas presents..

  Ludlow Junior Takes Round 2 Of R2C Pro Dirt Series
Brad Ludlow claimed two races and the overall points in the hustle and bustle of the DiCandilo Steel City Late Models. Second overall was his father Ben who had three seconds with Craig Vosbergen third. “I think that was just the survival of the fittest,” a puffed Vosbergen said. “We have a good young crew.

In what started out as a hot afternoon out at Ellenbrook Speedway and Warren Oldfield showed how hot he could be behind the steering wheel of his Ultratune Morley/Carahaul #51w machine with an enthralling win in the 2010 Ray Tulk Memorial. Oldfield came from behind to beat home Craig Vosbergen (Worldwide Construction Machinery/Ductworks Australia #8 Rocket), with veteran Ben Ludlow bringing his DiCandilo Steel City/Lucas Oils #9 GRT home in third.

Late Model Racing Australia is pleased to announce that R2C Competition Series Filters will be the major supporter of the upcoming Pro Dirt Series.

The announcement came at a glittering event held at the Galleria Toyota premises just prior to the LMRA opening Pro Dirt event, The Ray Tulk memorial, which will be held at Ellenbrook Speedway on October 16, 2010.
